DESCRIPTION

Take your off-body concealed-carry training beyond static target practice. This 2.5-hour, instructor-led live-fire handgun course is designed for new and experienced everyday carry (EDC) and concealed-carry permit holders who want to develop practical, repeatable skills with an off-body carry system.

Students will practice accessing and presenting a handgun from an approved concealed-carry purse, bag, or other off-body system; engaging targets; performing efficient reloads; moving with control; and responding to common handgun stoppages. Training emphasizes safe gun handling, maintaining control of the carry system, awareness of the handgun’s location, and consistent decision-making.

Because off-body carry presents unique safety and access challenges, students will also work on maintaining separation and muzzle awareness between the handgun and adjacent people, keeping the handgun secured within the carry system, and avoiding unsafe usage of the bag during movement or other activities. The course helps responsible concealed carriers train more effectively while recognizing the additional responsibilities associated with carrying a handgun off the body.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course is appropriate for:

  • New and current every day carry (EDC) and concealed-carry permit holders
  • Defensive handgun students seeking additional live-fire practice
  • Shooters needing additional concealed-carry practice or advanced handgun training
  • Experienced concealed carriers who want to sharpen drawing, reload, movement, and stoppage-clearance skills
  • Anyone seeking structured, instructor-led practice with carrying a concealed handgun for personal protection
